LIU Kung Wei, Christopher

Head of Development

Mr Liu is Head of Development at Metropoly where he is responsible for design, project development and project management for all new projects.

Prior to joining the firm, he served in various senior management positions at Shangri-La Asia Limited and its subsidiaries (“Shangri-La Group”), and at Kerry Properties Limited. From 2016, Mr. Liu was Shangri-La Asia's Chief Operating Officer, Executive Director and Managing Director, reporting directly to the Chairman and CEO. From 2013 to 2016, he spearheaded the Group's development division, overseeing all new hotel constructions and renovation projects worldwide, and was responsible for the concept and development of the 'Kerry Hotel' and 'Kerry Sports' brands. Mr. Liu served as a Director of Kerry Development (China) Limited from 2006 to 2012. Based in Shanghai, he oversaw the development of various mixed-use projects including Kerry Parkside in Shanghai, Hangzhou Kerry Centre and Shangri-La at the Fort in Manila.

Mr. Liu began his career in 1991 as an architect in New York City and holds a Bachelor's of Architecture degree from Cornell University, New York.
